The 2015 Tubbs Lecture “Japanese Flowering Cherries: A 100 Year-Long Love Affair,” presented by Professor Anthony Aiello, Director of Horticulture at the Morris Arboretum, will detail the history of the cherry tree’s rise to popularity.

A tour of Willowwood Arboretum’s Cherry Collection will follow, along with light refreshments. The cost of this program is $20.00.

LILACS! Saturday, April 25th 10 am Fee $15. members


Marc Zukovich, President of Sterling Horticultural Services, will talk about the many different varieties of Lilacs, how to prune, feed and care for them.

A stroll through the Willowwood Arboretum's Lilacs will follow.

The 20th Anniversary Lilac Party! Sunday, May 17th

The Board of Trustees of the Willowwood Foundation are delighted to invite you to this annual fundraiser - The Lilac Garden Party and Spring Artisan Winetasting by 56 degree wine.

Party begins at 4:30 pm. Tickets start at $90.00

This charming garden party was established 20 years ago In the Tradition of the Tubbs Brothers and Dr. Benjamin Blackburn of Celebrating Spring with food and wine and glorious music under the heavenly scent of the lilacs at Willowwood. Featuring a Concert by the Somerset Hills reknown men's a cappella group "The Ten" and also music by Carlos Cuestas, classical guitarist. Tempting hors d'oeuvres with favorites from past years events can be paired with a sampling of palate fresh Spring wines hosted by 56 degree wine, Bernardsville. A silent plant auction offers a wide variety of plantings from local growers and private gardens for both the newby and experienced gardener. And finally, just stroll through the Spring Gardens to enjoy the flowers.
