Earth Day - April 22

- Tue, 04/22/2014 (All day)

The purpose of Earth Day is to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth and the environment.

Every day at Willowwood is Earth Day as staff and volunteers work in the gardens. Come visit this wonderful treasure!

Or if you are interested in learning and volunteering through the "Gardenworks" program, or are a Corporate or School "Help" Team and want to spend a day tidying the gardens after this winter, call Kate Gutierrez at 973 326 7629 or email Kate at for more information. Willowwood & Mother's Day - Perfect Together - Noon to 4 pm

- Sun, 05/11/2014 - 12:00pm

Mother's Day is one of the most delightful family events at Willowwood. The Gardens and Flowering Trees (including Lilacs - if Mother Nature is kind) are generally in Spring Bloom with lots of opportunities for family photo ops!

Pamper Mom on her special day: Stroll the gardens or join the garden and meadow tours (wear appropriate shoes), visit the Tubbs House, listen to music by the A.L.L. Trio who will have you dancing on the lawn with their wide range of musical repertoire, purchase a lilac plant and enjoy light refreshments.

Keep checking this website for more details as we get closer!

The Willowwood Foundation Lilac Party

- Sun, 05/18/2014 - 4:30pm

The 'Lilac Party' is a lovely garden party in the tradition of the Tubbs and Dr. Ben Blackburn. Featuring Spring wines for tasting hosted by Chris Cree, Master of Wine, 56 degree wine, music by Somerset Hills renown a cappella group "The Ten", scrumptious hors d'oeuvres - all under our tent - rain or shine!

Plus a Silent Plant Auction for both savvy and newbie gardeners offers unusual plants, hard to find veggies and always a few wonderful surprises from Willowwood's Horticulture Staff, our growing partners and private gardens.

The Willowwood Foundation celebrates its 19th Lilac Party Fundraiser in 2014. Proceeds are used to fund horticulture interns plus plantings and garden restoration at the Willowwood Arboretum.

Check out our photos from 2013 and previous years in this site's photo section for a glimpse of this charming garden party.
