Mother's Day at Willowwood Arboretum
Mother's Day at the Willowwood Arboretum is always fun for Mom and her family. Come any time after noon for an hour or longer and stroll through the gardens or even hike some of the trails.
Photo ops are plentiful and just the right backdrop in any of the beautiful Spring Gardens and throughout the Lilac Walk. There are plenty of benches throughout to rest and relax.
The A.L.L. Trio has performed at several Mother's Day events and their electic mix of music - old and familar as well as new compositions - add a wonderful melodic air to the afternoon. Many families bring a blanket or lawn chairs and sit in the Cottage Garden with their snacks and enjoy this great music - some even dance on the lawn!
A plant sale with unusual lilacs is planned. And light refreshments are offered.
The afternoon's activities are free to the public - all we ask is that you just enjoy the afternoon
at the Morris County Park Commission's "Hidden Treasure" - Willowwood. "a place that takes you by the hand..."
