Kimberly DeCristofaro
Kimberly grew up in the area as the child and grandchild of avid gardeners, developing a deep appreciation for horticulture from an early age. Sunday mornings in her household were often spent listening to Ralph Snodsmith’s iconic gardening show on the radio—a beloved source of inspiration and practical advice for home gardeners of the time.
Her personal interest in gardening evolved from a hobby into a professional pursuit. She began by taking weekend horticulture courses at Rutgers University and later went on to run a gardening business focused on cultivating and maintaining perennial and annual landscape gardens.
As a trustee of the arboretum, Kimberly is honored to support and celebrate both the local flora she grew up with and the extraordinary plant specimens from around the world. Serving on the board offers her another way to engage with the natural beauty she has long cherished and to contribute to a space that inspires others to connect with the wonders of the plant world.
