<p>The 2014 Photo Contest topic was &#8220;Willowwood&#8217;s Cherries&#8221;. There are many varieties of cherries at Willowwood (see list under garden information). One of which is one of Willowwood&#8217;s most unusual cherries: Prunus serrulata ‘Asagi’. Each spring visitors marvel at its curious apple-green flowers. <p>4/23/14 Hi, cherries are now in full bloom and barring bad weather &#8211; should be in great form now through the weekend. Trees are throughout the property but many are towards the lilac walk. <p>4/15/14 Our second bloom report! The heat this weekend finally pushed along some blooming. The Cherries in the Rosarie are starting to bloom. The big ,old Cherry in the Lilac collection and the one behind the Conservatory are breaking bud. The Cornus mas by the entrance and by the Rockery are full of yellow flowers. [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The weather this weekend and next week looks like we might have a bit of Spring. Good time to take a little stroll and breathe. Here is the bloom report as of yesterday! <p>The 2013 Photo Contest featured Willowwood&#8217;s Magnolia Collection. Winners are: 1st Place, Elise Ange, 2nd: Navjot Singh, 3rd: Peggy Wagemann and 4th &#8211; David Mills.</p>

<p>The 2013 contest featured Willowwood’s Magnolias. Generally in bloom March into April, the top twelve photos of Magnolias were displayed at WW on Mother&#8217;s Day and at the Lilac Party, May 19, 2013. After voting, the winning photos were featured in this website&#8217;s Photo Section. First Place prize winner is Elise Ange. Navjot Singh won [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Blue skies and puffy clouds greeted the Mother&#8217;s Day visitors at Willowwood Arboretum&#8217;s annual celebration.</p>

<p>Willowwood&#8217;s Magnolia Collection is quite diverse, including at least 128 varieties. We are especially delighted with our new yellow magnolias! Updated with New Spring 2013 photos!</p>

<p>Willowwood is beautiful in all seasons. We will be featuring views of the landscape starting with this album, Spring at Willowwood.</p>

<p>In 2012 the Foundation sponsored our first competition &#8211; the topic was Daffodils. First place winner was Ashton Temples for his photo of a single daffodil. Michael Hartnett&#8217;s photo came in 2nd place and Gene Moretti had two of his photos tied for 3rd Place. The top finalist photos are displayed on the photo page [&hellip;]</p>
