<p>The 6th Annual Tubbs Lecture at Willowwood Arboretum was held this past Sunday, April 24, 2022, in memory of Henry and Robert Tubbs. Guest speaker, Jack Alexander, held the position of Plant Propagator for 40 years at Harvard University’s&nbsp;Arnold Arboretum. He shared his expertise in growing Lilacs and gave a guided walk through the Lilac [&hellip;]</p>

<p>We had such a beautiful day for our 23rd Lilac Party and we are now planning the 24th (and the 25th in 2021!) Thanks to Sue Pedersen for all the beautiful pictures.</p>

<p>Fred Spicer spoke on the topic, &#8220;Why Do We Botanize&#8221; at the 3rd Annual Tubbs Lecture on April 23, 2017.</p>

<p>Mother Nature offered all her choices in one afternoon &#8211; rain, sleet, snow, sunshine and rainbows but the staunch and happy party go&#8217;ers wrapped in down and wellies enjoyed the wine tasting, hors d&#8217;oeuvres by Ross and Owren, silent plant sale and music by the wonderful TEN of the NY University Glee Club.</p>

<p>Here are the finalist entries for the 2016 Photo Contest. The topic is &#8220;Spring Awakening at Willowwood&#8221;…glimpses of how the flora and fauna greet early Spring at Willowwood. Photos were taken at Willowwood from end February, 2016 through April, 2016 and the deadline for submission was May 5, 2016. Congratulations to 1st Place Winner, Donna [&hellip;]</p>

<p>This year marked the Willowwood Foundation&#8217;s 18th Annual Lilac Party. Food, drink and fashionable wellies helped all celebrate this wonderful Spring day. Photos by Susan Pedersen.</p>

<p>The 2015 Tubbs Lecture focused on Japanese Flowering Cherries, first brought to the US in 1912. The Willowwood&#8217;s collection was one of the highlights of both the talk and the guided tour.</p>

<p>The Photo Contest this year focused on Willowwood&#8217;s large cherry collection. Here are the beautiful finalist entries. Voting for a &#8220;favorite&#8221; took place at the Mother&#8217;s Day event and at the Lilac Party. Winners are noted on the individual images and each picture is identified with the photographer&#8217;s name.</p>

<p>As Summer gradually drifts toward Autumn, we thought you might like to see some beautiful images from summer at the Willowwood Arboretum. Be sure to visit soon so as not to miss out on the current splendor.</p>

<p>The 2013 Photo Contest featured Willowwood&#8217;s Magnolia Collection. Winners are: 1st Place, Elise Ange, 2nd: Navjot Singh, 3rd: Peggy Wagemann and 4th &#8211; David Mills.</p>

<p>Blue skies and puffy clouds greeted the Mother&#8217;s Day visitors at Willowwood Arboretum&#8217;s annual celebration.</p>

<p>Willowwood&#8217;s Magnolia Collection is quite diverse, including at least 128 varieties. We are especially delighted with our new yellow magnolias! Updated with New Spring 2013 photos!</p>

<p>Willowwood is beautiful in all seasons. We will be featuring views of the landscape starting with this album, Spring at Willowwood.</p>
